Welcome to the Top Ten Tech Tools 4 Teachers Wiki!

We're on a quest to find free or inexpensive Web 2.0 and Web 3D tools that can enhance the learning and teaching we're already doing or enable us to do valuable new things. Like vinyl records, traditional literacies only become more important and appreciated as new technologies give us innovative and exciting ways to use them. So we're sampling, remixing, and mashing-up strategies and tools to design creative classroom ventures and collaborative ones for educators and the whole school community.

Our focus is on teaching and collaborating with fellow educators creatively while creating the conditions for our students to develop their own creativity.

You'll find Creative Classroom Ventures and Creative Collaborative Ventures (Educators, Parents, and School Communities) that apply new digital tools. The discussion of each includes the transaction costs (thank you, Clay Shirky), tips for use, examples, and relevant additional information.

Creative Classroom Ventures

[Top Ten Tools Institute participants courageously accepted the challenge of creating activities that use digital tools in the service of teaching literacy and creativity. There was way too much to do though so we ran out of time. You can see here the beginning of a collection we hope will grow.)
